Outdoor Meeting to Dartmoor – Saturday 23rd September

The outdoor meeting this month saw myself, Maurice and Grant meet up with Robin for a Landscape photo trip to Dartmoor.

First port of call being Ditsworthy Warren and for those familiar with the War Horse movie, this was where they filmed the opening scenes.

After a couple of hours we decided to have a tea and pasty at the Princetown Cafe followed by a quick visit to the for a Dartmoor Tors Photographic Exhibition at the museum.

We then drove a couple of miles back down the road to park at the Dunnabridge Pound and walked across the road to a very muddy path that led us down to the West Dart River.

This is where Maurice decided to get down and dirty after his welly got stuck in the mud and he came crashing down into a muddy puddle, unfortunately no photos available.

with the water levels quite high in the river we took our photos and made our way back to the car using a less muddy route back.

Many thanks again to Robin for an excellent day out.

Paul.
